Appliance Pick-up

The Municipality of Kingston is planning an appliance pick-up for Thursday, July 9 and Friday, July 10, 2015.

Items that are acceptable are:

White goods, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, cast iron sinks and tubs, water heaters, microwaves, grills, air conditioners, refrigerators (with doors removed) trash compactors, and car batteries

Items that are not acceptable are:

Toxic material containers, 55-gallon drums, paint cans, oil cans, television sets, tires and yard waste.

ITEMS MUST BE ON THE TREE LAWN BY 7:00 A.M. – PUBLIC WORKS WILL NOT VISIT SAME STREET MORE THAN ONCE.

Holiday Schedule

The Municipality of Kingston’s administrative offices will be closed on Friday, April 19, 2019 in observance of Good Friday and will re-open Monday, April 22, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.. Residents of Zones #1 and #2A who normally place their recyclables curbside for pickup on Mondays, are asked to do so on Friday, April 19, 2019. Public works will run its normal schedule on Friday, April 19, 2019 and will be closed on Monday, April 22, 2019.

URGENT PARKING UPDATE

Parking is prohibited on the even-numbered side of the streets between the hours of 6pm on Saturday, January 19 and 6am Sunday, January 20. Parking is prohibited on the odd-numbered side of the streets between 7am and 7pm on Sunday January 20th. Residents and businesses with off-street parking accommodations are urged to keep their vehicles off the streets. Failure to comply with the parking regulation will result in vehicles being ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense.

Enforceable Street Cleaning will begin on Monday, March 19, 2018. Please adhere to all posted street cleaning signs.

No Emergency Dispatch
Kingston will no longer dispatch police, fire, and ambulance calls. As of 12 a.m. on September 1, 2010, all residents and businesses of Kingston, Forty Fort, and Pringle are required to Dial 911 for Police, Fire and Ambulance emergencies. Do not call 287-6911 as this is no longer an emergency number.
