COLUMBUS DAYThe Municipality of Kingston administrative offices and DPW will be closed on Monday, October 8, 2018 in observance of Columbus Day and will reopen on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Residents of Zone #1 who normally place their recyclables and garbage curbside and residents of Zone #2A who place their recyclables curbside are asked to do so on Friday, October 5, 2018.
PETROLEUM DROPOFFResidents of Kingston will get a chance to dispose of old tires and other unwanted petroleum based products. Kingston will hold a community wide “petroleum drop-off” on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Proof of Kingston residency will be required to drop off items at the Department of Public Works Municipal Warehouse, 455 Church Street. Items that will be accepted include tires and the following liquids: motor oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, antifreeze and cooking oil. All liquids must be labeled and in air-tight containers. Paint cans will not be accepted.

No Emergency Dispatch
Kingston will no longer dispatch police, fire, and ambulance calls. As of 12 a.m. on September 1, 2010, all residents and businesses of Kingston, Forty Fort, and Pringle are required to Dial 911 for Police, Fire and Ambulance emergencies. Do not call 287-6911 as this is no longer an emergency number.
