The Municipality of Kingston’s Regular Monthly meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on October 7, 2019 in Council Chambers, 500 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, PA.
The Municipality of Kingston’s administrative offices and Department of Public Works will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2019 and Friday, November 29, 2019 in observance of Thanksgiving and will reopen on Monday, December 2, 2018.
Residents of Zone #3 who normally put their garbage curbside for pick-up on Thursday, are asked to do so on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Residents of Zone #1 who normally put their garbage curbside for pick up on Friday, are asked to do so on Monday, December 2, 2019.
The Municipality of Kingston will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2019 in observance of Columbus Day. Residents of Zone #1 and #2A who normally place their recycling curbside for pick-up on Monday, are asked to do so on Friday, October 11, 2019. The Municipality will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
Petroleum-Based Products Disposal Event
Residents of Kingston will get a chance to dispose of old tires and other unwanted petroleum based products.
Kingston will hold a community wide “petroleum drop-off” on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Proof of Kingston residency will be required to drop off items at the Department of Public Works Municipal Warehouse, 455 Church Street.
Items that will be accepted include tires and the following liquids: motor oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, antifreeze and cooking oil. All liquids must be labeled and in air tight containers. Paint cans will not be accepted.
Recycling Drop-Off Update
Effective immediately, residents are no longer permitted to drop-off single stream recycling at the DPW Warehouse. This measure is implemented due to the significant costs of tipping recycling. Anyone caught dumping recyclable materials on municipal property will be cited for littering. We are sorry for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
