Kamp Kingston

Kamp and Klub Kingston are both eight week programs that run from June through August. Kamp Kingston consists of children from the ages of 5-8. Klub Kingston consists of children from the ages of 9-13. There are two sessions for both camps, one runs from 8:00am to 1:00pm and the other runs from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. For children who stay all day, lunch will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. First hour and last hour are free time. There are two to three counselors for each group which have child abuse background checks and are also certified in CPR and First Aid. Each day is anew adventure at the camp consisting of swim days, movie day, guest speakers, and arts and crafts day. Other activities offered in the camp are dodge ball, scooters, kickball, basketball, tennis, etc. Snacks are provided by the Rec. Center for each child everyday.

VETERANS DAY

The Municipality of Kingston’s administrative offices will be closed on Monday, November 12, 2018 in honor of Veteran’s Day, and will re-open on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Public works will run its normal schedule that day.

THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

The Municipality of Kingston’s administrative offices and Department of Public Works will be closed on Thursday, November 22, 2018 and Friday, November 23, 2018 in observance of Thanksgiving and will reopen on Monday, November 26, 2018.

Residents of Zone #3 who normally put their garbage curbside for pick-up on Thursday, are asked to do so on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.

PETROLEUM DROPOFF

Residents of Kingston will get a chance to dispose of old tires and other unwanted petroleum based products. Kingston will hold a community wide “petroleum drop-off” on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Proof of Kingston residency will be required to drop off items at the Department of Public Works Municipal Warehouse, 455 Church Street. Items that will be accepted include tires and the following liquids: motor oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, antifreeze and cooking oil. All liquids must be labeled and in air-tight containers. Paint cans will not be accepted.

Kingston will no longer dispatch police, fire, and ambulance calls. As of 12 a.m. on September 1, 2010, all residents and businesses of Kingston, Forty Fort, and Pringle are required to Dial 911 for Police, Fire and Ambulance emergencies. Do not call 287-6911 as this is no longer an emergency number.
