Leaves: It is illegal to deposit leaves into the streets. Please respect your fellow neighbors and our community. Excess leaves in the streets block storm drains, which may cause flash flooding during heavy rain events. Excess leaves in the streets also create dangerous conditions for vehicular and pedestrian traffic. If you see someone depositing leaves into the streets, please call our Police Department at 570-288-3674.
Dog Waste: Kingston is a dog friendly community. Our long, tree-lined streets are excellent for walking your dog. Municipal ordinance requires dogs to be leashed and owners of dogs to carry waste collection devices at all times. Please clean up after your dog.
Zoning Permits: No building, structure or sign shall be erected, constructed, moved, added to or structurally altered, nor shall any land, structure or building be put to any use without first obtaining a zoning permit from the Zoning Officer. This includes principal structures and attached appurtenances such as steps and decks, accessory structures such as sheds and swimming pools, fences and the replacement of any of these items.
